The WMT VMC650 is a high-speed 3-axis vertical machining center engineered for compact floor efficiency and micron-level contouring accuracy. Featuring X/Y/Z axis travels of 650 × 400 × 500 mm and an 800 × 400 mm precision-ground T-slot worktable rated for 500 kg workpieces, the VMC650 is built on a thermally stabilized HT300 Meehanite cast-iron frame. Its standard 10,000 RPM BT40 cartridge spindle, paired with P4 angular contact bearings and pretensioned C3 ground ball screws, delivers ±0.003 mm bidirectional repeatability under ISO 230-2 laser interferometer testing. Equipped with a 24-station arm-type automatic tool changer (1.8-second tool-to-tool time) and 36 m/min rapid traverse rates, the VMC650 maximizes spindle utilization in precision die-making, medical instrumentation, and multi-shift aluminum or alloy steel batch milling.
